The DIFC Innovation Licence is a commercial licence with a subsidised fee structure that is open to all technology and innovation firms, enabling growth at any stage. This licence caters to firms interested in developing or testing new, novel, or innovative products.

The licence is subsidised for a period of 2 to 5 years* at a rate of USD 1,500 per annum, providing your business with access to coworking space and discounted visas.

 

Three easy steps to start setting up your business

Step one.

Signify your interest.

Discuss your proposed innovation firm with the DIFC team.

Step two.

Process application and obtain in-principle approval.

An application for initial approval is completed through the DIFC portal.

Step three.

Register your entity.

Following receipt of initial approval, there are several steps to complete, including procuring space in DIFC. Once registration is complete, DIFC will issue a certificate and a licence.
